The AMA Queensland Council has determined the organisation’s priorities for the 2024 Queensland Election.
Broadly, the 17 priority areas cover policy reforms that will greatly benefit Queensland’s doctors, their patients and the community provided they receive significant investment by the State Government and/or adequate ongoing support where already established.
The priority areas are:

PRIORITY 6 Primary-tertiary integration

PRIORITY 9 Collaborative, evidence-based practice
PRIORITY 10 Digital integration
PRIORITY 11 First Nations health
PRIORITY 12 Women's health
PRIORITY 13 Climate and sustainability
PRIORITY 14 LGBTQIASB+ community
PRIORITY 15 Mental health
PRIORITY 16 Aged and end-of-life care
PRIORITY 17 Substance-related harm
