Resident Hospital Health Check

Each year, ASMOFQ, in collaboration with AMA Queensland and its Committee of Doctors in Training surveys Resident Medical Officers throughout Queensland, including Interns, Junior House Officers, Senior House Officers and those on Continued Residency

This scorecard outlines our extensive work to support and advance the medical profession in Queensland and protect patient health - from member engagements to the delivery of complex policy advocacy.

Workforce Working Group Action Plan

AMA Queensland has released a strong, sensible and achievable plan to chart a course to a bigger and better medical workforce.

Budget Submission 2025-26

AMA Queensland has long advocated for key health reforms to improve access and equity. Our Budget Submission 2025–26 outlines these priorities, and we urge the new LNP Government to invest in them.

Payroll tax campaign

In 2020, a NSW tribunal ruled that independent practitioners were employees for payroll tax purposes. Under tax harmonisation arrangements, in 2021 the QRO began auditing general practices using the new interpretation of the law.

Support for substance-related harm

Doctors, lawyers, police and alcohol and other drug agencies are alarmed by the new government’s intentions to wind back life-saving reforms for people who use drugs and other substances.
